Measurements - Chest is 37"" at twice the underarm width measurement. There are several missing beads from the flower stems on the back of the dress that do not affect the design. The shell is an ivory wool crepe sheath dress with little cap sleeves and a back zipper. The dress doesn’t have a fabric tag – it was probably not made for commercial sale – but the shell looks and feels like wool crepe, and the pale peach lining appears to be silk. The dress is embellished in a bold, black floral design using glass bugle beads, black plastic leaves, copper and brass metal embroidery, smoky glass beads, crewel embroidery (the black dots), and silk applique – and I’ve probably missed something. - Waist is 30” - Hips are 40” - Length is 37"" down center back. Please refer to the measurements for the best guidance regarding actual size, and compare with a similar garment that fits you. There is no size label, but sizing charts indicate the dress is a modern size 10. Condition Excellent condition; appears to be unworn. The best depiction of the ivory color of the dress is in the final photograph of the label. This particular dress certainly exemplifies his beautifully beaded and embroidered statement pieces.
